As serendipitous meetings go, this one’s a doozy.
Whilst travelling in Tokyo, I updated my location on a job platform. I soon received a message from a new ethical e-commerce brand looking to commission a freelance fashion copywriter to craft a blog about the city. The post was a hit. The brand hired me on retainer for what would become almost two years of creative collaboration.
Our focus never changed: to share the brand’s ethical and sustainable values in a voice that felt approachable, relatable and never preachy.

As the fledgling business grew, so did my involvement in the copy. I crafted banner headings, social media copy and product descriptions that defined and strengthened the brand’s personality.
I oversaw the content calendar for the blog, pitching, researching and delivering warm and intelligent posts on topics relating to travel, eco-friendly fashion and yoga.
